You will be given an extended hours appointment to attend designated centres/hubs across the Wigan Borough, during the hours of 6:30 pm to 10:00 pm weekdays and 8:00 am to 8:00 pm weekends and bank holidays.
This service is available to all registered Wigan Borough patients. Please note these appointments are not at this Surgery.

Winter Pressure Appointments
We are providing additional appointment between November and March, this can be either a face to face appointment with the GPs, or a telephone consultation if appropriate
Dr Carrie Kiernan is a GP Registrar (GPST3)
Dr Gladys Ofoche is a GP Registrar (GPTS2)
Practice nurses are qualified and registered nurses. They can help with health issues such as family planning, healthy living advice, blood pressure checks, baby immunisations, cytology screening. The practice nurses run clinics for long-term health conditions such as asthma or diabetes, cornary heart disease, ECGs, 24hr BP Monitoring
Our HCA has commenced a 2 year Nurse Associate Training Course and will be mentored by the Practice Nurse.
Carlie is the Health Care assistant and is currenlty attending Bolton University doing a 2yr Nurse Associate course and will be supported and mentored by Sister Fiona Kelly.
Carlie has completed the following training:-

24 Ambulatory BP monitoring
Blood Pressure Checks
Influenza and B12 immunisations
The practice management team is involved in managing all of the business aspects of the practice such as human resources, finance, patient safety, premises and equipment and information technology. The practice management team support the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and also helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care
