Out of Hours Service please call NHS 111
If you require a doctor urgently out-of-hours you should contact NHS 111. Staff are trained to direct you to the appropriate service for your condition.
The Out of Hours service is provided by Bridgewater Community Healthcare NHS Trust, Ashton, Leigh & Wigan Division:

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.
In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness
of breath constitute an emergency

Local pharmacists are able to give you free health advice, no appointment needed. Some pharmacists are also able to treat minor illnesses, eg cough colds.
