GP Access Alliance

If you need to see a GP, ANP, Nurse or HCA in the evening, over the weekend or bank holidays, please ring 01942 482848. 

You will be given an extended hours appointment to attend designated centres/hubs across the Wigan Borough, during the hours of 6:30 pm to 10:00 pm weekdays and 8:00 am to 8:00 pm weekends and bank holidays. 

This service is available to all registered Wigan Borough patients. Please note these appointments are not at this Surgery.

This service is separate from NHS 111, which is an out-of-hours service.

We are providing additional appointment between November and March, this can be either a face to face appointment with the GPs, or a telephone consultation if appropriate

Please note that from the 4th June 2018 you can now register to view your blood results.  Patients will be able to view test results as they come in and keep track of their glucose levels and cholesterol on their smartphones, enabling them to take greater control of their care and better manage their health Test Results. 

test_results3Please contact the surgery in 3-4 working days after 2.00pm for blood results. The receptionist is not able to discuss the results with you, but will be able to inform you if the GP has recorded that the test was normal. You may be asked to see the GP or the practice nurse if there were any abnormalities found.

Note that the practice has a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection and we will only release test results to the person to whom they relate unless that person has given prior permission for the release of this data or they are not capable of understanding the results.

When you take your test you will be told how long it will be before the results are returned to the practice. It is your responsibility to check your results and to make an appointment to discuss them with your doctor if your are advised to do so.
